Hiroshige's masterpieces
Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858)Known as Ukiyo-e painter of tourism by the series of Tokaido Fifty-three Stations. He made many tour series like Kiso Kaido Sixty-nine Stations, and townscape series like Hundred Famous Views of Edo, etc. Tokaido Fifty-three Stations, which have 61 prints in the whole series: one for each station, plus one apiece for the starting Edo and ending points Kyoto.
