The Essence of Hokusai's Art: Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji

Katsushika Hokusai(1760~1849)
Katsushika Hokusai, who was active in the Edo period, worked in many fields such as actor paintings and illustrations for reading materials. He also studied a wide range of Chinese and Western painting techniques, and his landscape paintings using shading and perspective eventually became the “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji,” including the masterpiece ” A Mild Breeze on a Fine Day”.
Hokusai’s works have greatly influenced Western artists, and he is still considered one of the most famous Japanese painters in the world.
